Welcome to Gaelachas Teoranta

Founded in 1944, Gaelachas Teoranta in Cork aims to promote and teach all aspects of the Irish language and Irish culture to children and young adults.

Not only is there an all-Irish Primary boarding school and an all-Irish secondary school but we also offer Irish language summer courses at our two summer colleges in Cork.

Catering for ages ten to eighteen, our Irish schools, courses and colleges are focused towards educating pupils about the Irish language and Irish culture in a safe yet fun educational environment.

Our teachers are all fully-qualified and possess a wealth of experience in teaching the Irish language.

Each and every one of our staff is dedicated towards providing our pupils with a core understanding of the Irish language while also enabling them to develop and experience extra-curricular activities and skills.

These include arts and crafts, drama and an array of sporting activities including basketball, soccer and many more.

As well as offering excellent teaching staff, we also have fantastic facilities at our Irish language schools and colleges which include well-equipped canteens and residential dormitories for our boarding courses.
